I have two dilemnas... Please help, confused on whats the right thing to do
1) when addressing the inner envelope, how should the names be written? We would like the invitations to be formal, so let me know if I need to correct the wording.
this one was easy - unmarried couple - Ms. Jessica Smith and Mr. Brian Brown
not so sure here.... married couple - Mr. & Mrs. Brian Brown - or - Mrs. Jessica and Mr. Brian Brown
for Families... The Brown Family - or - Mr. & Mrs. Brian Brown and Family
2) we have three brothers that live together in the same house and they are over 18. should we send invitations to them individually or together? One is single, one is dating, and one is single and in our wedding party. I was thinking of maybe sending just one addressed to all three of them and then a separate one to the one with a gf... is that okay??
TIA!!!

I'm not the queen of ettiquette so you should def get a second opinion but:
Ms. Jessica Smith and Mr. Brian Brown
Mr. & Mrs. Brian Brown
Mr. & Mrs. Brian Brown and Family (although I think the other works too. this just seems more formal to me)
are all 3 brothers getting guests? If you don't want to send 3 invites, you could do:
Mr. Brother One & guest Mr. Brother Two & guest Mr. Brother Three & guest
However, I think the more proper and formal way to do it is to send 3 separate invites. (with & guest as you want). I do think it would be kind of tacky to list them all on one invite but only some with '& guest'
If it's a specific girlfriend that you will be inviting by name you can either put her on the brother's invite (separate invite) or you can send her her own invite.
Edit: I just realized you were asking about the inner envelope. We aren't having an inner envelope so I don't really know the rules for that. I was under the impression that you list every person separately by name.
Ex: if parents + 3 kids, inner envelope would say:
Mr. & Mrs. Don Apple Ms. Juliette Apple Ms. Lucy Apple Mr. Kevin Apple
but outside could say
Mr. & Mrs. Don Apple & Family
i'll be interested to see what others say in response

Re: Invitation help
We decided that all three brothers will not be bringing a guest. The one with the GF is also a friend of mine, so I was thinking of sending her a separate invitation.
FH and I felt because of the limited space that we have we want to know our friend's guests.
But I heard a rule that people in your bridal party should be allowed to bring a guest, even if you don't know them well because they are being honored as part of your wedding party.

You can do that:
invite 1: Mr. Brother A Mr. Brother B Mr. Brother C
invite 2: Ms. Girlfriend D
I don't think we're inviting our entire bridal party with guests. We are young and many of our friends are single (not seeing someone at all). If we invited all of our guests WITH a guest it would hugely increase our guest list and there would be a lot of random people there. We're tentatively inviting people with guests only if they are in a serious relationship, which is up to our discretion. We are tentatively treating the bridal party the same way, although if any of them told us they really wanted to bring a date we'd probably let them.
Of our bridal party members, 3 are family members who are totally single. Also, one of my BMs is totally single and knows everyone else there. BM also may have a little *crush* on another single guy I'm inviting without a date.
I guess I could invite her, and not him, and then let her bring him as her guest but it might be a little awkward. Better to invite them each separately and then maybe they will mingle when the alcohol starts flowing.
