Invitation help

Invitation help

My invitations came in about a week ago...blue paper with white engraved text. The paper was lighter than the sample and hard to read. They said they would reprint them on darker paper. I also noticed the text was smaller than the proof so they said they would enlarge it also.

I just got back the new invites and they are worse. They enlarged the text but didn't space it properly so now the ribbon that wraps around them covers the line that says 'together with their parents'.

What do I do? My response cards say please respond by 8/7. That's less than three weeks away and it will probably take a week again to have them reprinted?? I'm going back and forth between really feeling like I'm going to cry and feeling like I'm going to scream.

Maybe you can have them reprint the response cards too - since it is their fault. You'd be fine with an 8/21 RSVP date.

Re: Invitation help

If you really are unhappy and not getting what you in fact paid for then I would contact them again and let them know. But if it is just that you dont like it but can stand it, then let it go. IF you are going to let the invite stay as is.. I would send out those invites ASAP due to the RSVP date

Re: Invitation help

It's not just that I don't like it, I would be embarrassed to send these out. Especially because of the exorbitant (sp?) price we are paying for engraving.

I think they are going to have to reprint the response cards too. It's too short. Thank God we sent save the dates so people at least know the date already. We also have the problem that the hotel blocked rooms are going to be released on 8/20 if they aren't booked, which means we will be leaving people very little time to get their rooms sorted out if we reprint again.

This is so frustrating. I just want these things to be sent!
