I looked online, ordered samples, etc and ultimately we ended up going to Party City and Hallmark to look at actual books. But we ordered them from someone online and got a significant savings for the same invites.

You can do DIY ones and buy the sets at Michael's!!! I did this it was $90 for 150 , take a look in my album at them!!!! Costco also sells them online for half the price!!!!!

Although DIY would save some money - I'm starting my first job as an attorney in a couple of weeks and don't anticipate having much time to work on invitations on top of all the other stuff I still have left to do for the wedding - that is a great price though, thanks anyway =)

Oh, please don't get me wrong. In hindsight, I would have done it totally different. I hate my invites. Well, I don't hate them, they just are not what I wanted. I wish that I had spent a little more time on them and I wish that I had gone to an actual store. But c'est la vie. There's only 5 months between the engagement and the wedding date, so I did not have the time to dilly dally and we were having a hard time agreeing on anything close to the same design. So, this was tolerable to both of us and not a fortune.

i was just mentioning it because it does make sence to check both... i assumed that it would have been cheaper online... but it wasnt.

Re: Invitation Help

We used Vistaprint, I designed my own but there are a bunch of great designs and there are always sales going on. We got ours done for less than $1a person (before postage)

You can see mine in my albums.

I have a girl in brooklyn that does invitations and I am sure her prices are reasonable. If you want, I can get you her info.
