So I went last night to look at invites and they quoted me about 3K. My FH and I wanted to try and not spend that much money since most people don't keep them. I need to order them this month since I will need to send them out soon! Please Please let me know if you have any suggestions on where I should go, or a website that I should just do them on my own.

Re: Invitation help
What do you think is a reasonable price range on invites? I really didnt want to spend more than $1,200. Is that unrealistic??
What is FTMB

Re: Invitation help
I agree 100% 3K is out of control. We will need about 125 invites and dont really want to spend more than $1,200 if possible. So stressed and so worried!!

W-T-F! Thats REDIC!!!! Go on Etsy... you can def. find unique stuff on there!
ETA: I still think 1200.00 is OIT OF CONTROL for 125 invites!! Thats 10.00 each plus you will need postage. I did mine for about 6.00 each.

under 1200 is def possible for 125 invites! I got mine on etsy from seller inkielivie and had a great experience. They were $7 per invite but if you order more than 100 there is a discount and I only need like 80 something

Re: Invitation help
I dont know where you live. But in commack there a place called wedding center the have invtiation favors, etc and will beat other prices. That is where we got ours and it only took about 2 weeks to get them. Plus they have a deal if you get 7 tux from them they will give you $200 back on the invitations. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else. I was in the same boat as you are and FH totally shot me down on the previous invitation and its is true there just going to go to the garabage.

Re: Invitation help
for 125 invites!! thats nuts!!! we (actually it was all me) admittedly went over budget on our order of 125 invites but our invites have 2 cyrstals on each, an envelope liner, high quality paper stock and calligraphy for literally half of what they quoted you definitley shop around that it way way way too much money!!

Re: Invitation help
Wow 3k is way too high. We're getting 100 invites for $620 plus postage. We're using eleven18 design studios, they're a vendor on here and their work is great. Everything is custom

Re: Invitation help
I just spent 5 minutes typing a response and went I hit post, it told me to log on!!! AAHHH!
The bottomline of my message:
Try wedding paper divas or exclusively weddings
Both websites
They have pretty options!!!
The more complex the invite, the more expensive.
I could also recommend a person - maybe she could help!!!

Re: Invitation help
with a $1200 budget, you can get realllly nice invites!
that is a verrry reasonable budget, but you could probably even cut that in half!

Re: Invitation help
I hate even spending more than a few dollars per invite. Everyone throws them away right after the wedding. We are looking ordering 150 invites and found ones for about $550 on exclusivelyweddings.com

Re: Invitation help
weddingpaperdivas
I wasn't spending a lot of money for this when I know most people just throw them away. I got pocketfolds from them as well. I bought the seals for those on vistaprint.
Overall, I spent less than $400.

Re: Invitation help
I'm not sure what style of invites you are looking for but we are getting 150 invites -- 2 color letterpress with reply postcard, 3 inserts, envelope liners and return address servicing for about half of what you were quoted. Its definitely possible to find something out there =). We're using a small company based out of Rochester called Pistachio Press and they have been great to work with so far!
FM me if you'd like more info! Good luck =)
