I was wondering how far ahead of your wedding date you finalized your guests lists and decided how many invitations you needed? I wanted to order them this summer for next June. Should I order extra just in case of unexpected invites? Please help!! TIA!

I just got mine a few weeks ago and will send them out at the end of august. I'm unfortunately still changing my guest list so I wouldn't suggest ordering them so far in advance. I ordered 25 extra invitations just in case.

I just ordered mine and I ordered about 20 extra. They say to always order extra. But you definately have plenty of time before you have to order. I ordered mine a little early but its one less thing we have to worry about and we got a good deal! Good Luck.

to be honest, i think you are ordering them way too far in advance. We had our original list about a year prior to the wedding which was only about 210 people (so perhaps I would have ordered 125 invites). As the date approached we kept revising our list and ended up needing 175 invites.
If you must order then now, I would suggest getting at least 25 more then anticipated.

Thank you everyone for your help! I'm planning to maybe order them in the fall. I'm starting a full time internship in September and will be in school two nights a week, in addition to working probably 2-3 days a week. So I need to get as much out of the way as possible.
