I did DIY but I know some girls find amazing things on Etsy! Have you tried there?

So many beautiful designs on etsy--do you have a theme or colors or any idea of how you want your invitations to look?

I purchased mine from Rexcraft.com (part of bed, bath and beyond). The base cost was $4.83/invitation.

My colors that I would like to stay true to are cobalt and fuschia/magenta....what is an average price for invitations?

Re: invitation help

it depends on what you want and the type of printing. i'm still in the process but have fallen in love with letterpress but that gets pricey so i'm trying to fall out of love. pockets are a little more expensive than flat cards but also depends on the number of inserts you need to add.

went to fat cat last weekend and am about to head out to hopefully finalize invites with another vendor. i can report back once i finalize.

I went to Invitations and beyond in oceanside, and they had invites of all prices. Books and books of them.

I used Cathy from An Invitation Sensation (she's a vendor here). I have nothing but positive things to say about her. She was able to get me exactly what I wanted in a super tight budget. I just couldn't fathom spending a lot on something everyone throws in the trash.

Re: invitation help

The FI and I really really want letterpress invites, but everything else we're still trying to figure out if we can get them cheaper, like the RSVPs.

I'm thinking of DIY'ing the RSVPs, they come back to us anyway!

Our venue is giving us directions or maps to to them, I haven't seen them yet but it most likely won't match our invite, neither will hotel and church directions, so all the little bits will be a hodge podge so I'm not concerned too much with making them match.

We just want really nice letterpress invites with substance. Just trying to figure out how to do that and which letterpress vendor to go thru without spending too much!

Well, letterpress will be more expensive than other types of invitations. We did not do letterpress, and spent about $4.80 per invite including addressing

And don't forget, the invite will set the tone for the wedding....people will get a certain impression of the type of affair, elegance o fthe venue, etc. When things look mismatched, etc, guests notice and wil act accordingly

I just did this and got to keep the letterpress invites that I wanted but am having the rsvp card and envelope printed separately. I didn't need rsvp to be letterpress and you'd be surprised how much little things drive the prices up. I posted on the '12 board but highly recommend Tammy Cunningham @ Sincerely Yours. She is amazing and will work with you regardless of budget. Feel free to FM me if you want more info on my invites or cost.
