Invitation Help Please
I started looking for invitations this past weekend and can't find one that I love. We went to party city and looked through the books. Does anyone have a suggestion of where I should go on the Island to find invitations and is there one invitation that someone really loves that is classy for a Sat. evening wedding? thanks!

I'm not sure how much you want tospend, but I went to Proper Papers in Plainview. My sister also got hers there. They have a bunch of books, and they give discounts on the prices. We looked at invites ranging from $5 - $18 each! (I didn't pick the $18, but they were nice) she has tons of stuff and a bunch on the wall with examples. It might be worth the trip. I also got my save the Date cards at 'Write Ideas' on Commack rd. in Commack. Nice place also, a little cheaper.

Try Papyrus. They have really nice stuff--- you can look on their website but they have a lot more in the actual store. There is one in Roosevelt Field Mall- but there might be one closer to your house.

Re: Invitation Help Please
I love Encore invitations. That is a sure for me. I have my invitation picked out before everything. I saw this really nice one in that book. When I went with my girlfriend I picked it out. They have some very elegant ones in that book. I think when she went I was just a brides mmaid for her and we went somewhere in Floral Park, I think. I know it was on Jericho. But not to far from Umbertos of New Hyde Park. But call the company see if there is a dealer closer to you.

Re: Invitation Help Please
I visited Party City on Saturday also and they were terrible. There was nobody to help me out. I then visited Follow Your Heart in Lindenhurst, New York, after reading a post on this board from another bride. They advertise on this site. They were extremely helpful and very friendly. I found several invitations that I liked. They have tons of invitation books, as well as favors, jewelry and a bunch of accessories. This will definitely be the place where I get everything. They made me feel special and spent lots of time with me. I would deifinitely recommend them.

You can try Have You Heard? in Bellmore or Linda's Lovelies in East Meadow. That's where I'm headed.
