My step sisters friend was supposed to be 'working' on my invitations. She does it on the side and agreed to design mine. I spoke to her on Tuesday and she said she would be mailing out the samples on Friday. Now I come into work today & there is an email from here saying........
'am emailing you a couple of invitation places. I am having trouble with my computer and the invitations i designed don't look good printed out on my printer. They are not wedding quality. (If I took them to a shop to be printed they would cost too much.) Sorry If I held you up. Please let me know it I can help you in any way.'
***!! Are you kidding me!! Ahhhhhh I'm so ****ed! She didn't even have the nerve to call me & let me know. What a lame excuse and very unprofessional.
So here is my dilema..I have no idea what invitations cost or where I should go to look for them. I need about 100...my wedding is in 3 months!
Thanks ladies

Re: Invitation HELP/vent...(long)
I got my invitations from the place where I got my dress, I ordered 75 for about 250.00. I didn't tke too long, a couple of weeks. But the calligraphy on the envelops also took a couple of weeks, so I would advise getting out there now. Sorry this had to happen to you, that was really rude of your friend. Good luck.

Sorry to hear about this. She really should have told you in a more personal way and should have let you know earlier about any problems. You should do a search on the net for invitation retailers. Also, if you own bridal magazines, they normally have advertisements with websites in the back for invitations.
Try 'Lion in the Sun' store... Ours were about $300, from Birchcraft

Re: Invitation HELP/vent...(long)
I am going to get my invitations done at Rena Marie Jewlers (vendor on here). They have been extremely nice. They have tons on books for invitations and they are reasonable. They are located in Bellmore. Good Luck!!

I also had a invitation nightmare. I wish I had gone to Linda's Lovelies. She has many books and they are all discounted. I paid lots of $ for mine and just found out that I would have gotten 30% off with her. Her # is 1/866/bride00 good luck
