I'm preparing to stuff my invitations this weekend and mail them out early next week! I have a few questions about the postage.
First, my invitation is going to cost $1.10. I can either get a 65 and 45 cent stamp or I'm thinking of just getting 2 65 cent stamps so they are the same. What do you think? It's more money but will it look better or will no one notice?
Also, should the rsvp envelope have pretty stamps as well or is a flag stamp ok? We have a ton of flag stamps here so it would save us some money but i dont want it to look stupid.

Invitation Mailing Question
I used wedding stamps on my response cards. Most pple do but it isn't the end off thr world if you don't. My envelopes came to 85 cents, I just did 2 45 cent ones, also their 85 cent stamp was a bird, yuk!!!

LOL I had the same dilemma with stamps. I also passed on the birds.
I don't think the 45 cent flower and 65 cent cake would look bad together. I actually like the look of different stamps. I definitely would have done it, had it been the cheapest option.

Im doing it the cheapest way possible. I dont care if the stamp is a fancy one or not because no one will even pay attention to it. The envelope goes in the trash.

Invitation Mailing Question
I'm in the beginning stages of designing my invitations and there's so much to consider. This thread just reminded me that stamps are going to be one more decision for me to stress and freak out over. LOL

Invitation Mailing Question
Just to be a devil's advocate here about stamps & how they just get thrown out. I thought the exact same thing, until my manager at worked asked me a few weeks ago 'What kind of stamps are you getting?' Like, I didn't think that would be a question one would ask me about my wedding.....

The flag and wedding stamps are the same price. You could prolly swap them out at a PO. It isn't the biggest of deals but I think it is a prettier touch than flags. I actually bough two bboks of the cherry blossom stamps bc they ran out of wedding and in hindsight, it looked so much prettier on the invite I wish I got them for all of the invites! If stamps are going up, I would buy them now ladies, the wedding stamps are forever stamps, you may want to double check but I am pretty sure that means you can use it no matter how much the stamps go up without needing to add penny stamps.

Invitation Mailing Question
Thanks everyone! I went with the 65 and 45 cent stamp to save money and Fh thinks we should use flag stamps (that we already have) for the rsvp. I hope no one really examines our stamp choice.

i think thats the best option, each cent you save on the small stuff is more $ you can put towards the big/more important things you want.
