I have to send out about 90 invitations and only want to order 100. We don't have a 'b' list and there is really nobody else we plan to invite. However, I like to plan for the unexpected and I am afraid that only having an extra 10 invites is not enough. Ordering extra in increments of 25 would cost me an extra $150 now, and I don't want to spend that money on 'backup' invitations that will probably not be used, Is anyone in the same situation or can anyone offer any advice?

I would double and triple check your invite numbers. If you think it's right then order only another 10. I ordered 25 extra and only used 1 (I don't even remember why).

order just 100 ... if, for some reason, you need extras, just go to michael's and make 'simple' invitations (DIY) for the extra people
not like people compare invitations ... nobody would know!

Oooo good idea to make my own if I need extras! Are they easy to make? I saw them in Michaels this weekend and they were cheap and there were really nice ones too!

I would order extra invites.... i ordered an extra 25 because If I had to order an extra 25 at a different time they would charge a lot more.. and I wouldn't want to make my own because although people might not compare.. they should be similar just in case.. you dont want people knowing they are on the b list.

we only needed 141 and ordered 150. I have 9 extra invitations sitting in my apt.
