Invitation opinions, please (with pic)

Invitation opinions, please (with pic)

Here's my dilemma: We've included our parents' names on the invitation (despite the fact that we're paying for the wedding ourselves). Now, do we include our last names? For instance, should it say Esther Middlename to Michael Middlename OR can it say Esther Middlename Doe to Michael Middlename Doe? I like the way it looks with our last names because I feel as though it makes our names stand out more. With just our first & middle names, our names blend in too much. Everything looks centered, whereas with our last names, it takes up more space.

ETA: The placement of our names on this invite reflects having our last names used. If we omit our last names, there is a shift towards the center.

Edited to ask: Is it just me or does it look like it says, 'Ms. Alex....?' It says Mr. (obviously since it's my dad)but it looks like Ms. on my computer.

I agree. If you said 'together with our parents', then you would write your first and last names.

I believe you usually don't write your last name if you have given your parent's.

if you like it with the last names than include them --the crane's book actually says that you are supposed to include both the bride's last name and the groom's even if you include parents on the invite. we put my FI's first, middle and last name and only my first since i do not have a middle name...i think it is more common to put the groom's last name and not the bride's...

one thing you may want to change is that you have:
mr and mrs. 'x'
request the honour of your presence at the marriage of their daughter

'bride' and 'groom' --i think you want to replace the 'and' with 'to'...

That was the designer's error and has been changed. But thanks for commenting! The 'and' made it look as though I was marrying my brother...lol

very nice invitation.. I agree if your saying together with your parents, you don't really have to include your last names.. but if you want that is ok too!

congrats!
