I am questioning how many extra invitations to order. I need approximately 130-140 to capture all guests. Based on that, how many extras should i order? I was thinking 175, but is that too many? I was afraid that 150 might not be enough.....tnoughts??

I needed 125 and I ordered 140 and then my Dad ended up adding people to his list and then I found out some people never got theirs so I had to make new ones for them. I would say to do 15-20 over what you need just to be on the safe side.

Check with your invite company - sometimes they only offer in quantities of 50 or so...
For example - i only needed 100 (that's WITH my extras) - but if i wanted 125 - i couldn't get them, it'd have to be 150.
Definitely go for 175 or 200 - if you have extras - GOOD...but if you're short - it'll cost you a FORTUNE to have 25 printed!!

It's better to get extra than have to order an extra 25 later on. It is amazing what it will cost to get an extra 25 at a later date.
FYI you may want to check out how much it would be to order extra envelopes. We didn't order extra ones and the printer screwed up 12 of them. We ordered 150 invitations, at home we have 10 left and 2 outside envelopes. To send to people outside of the country that we knew wouldn't make it a few had to get their invitations with the inside envelope. We just had enough due to the fact that we ordered a few extra invitations. Had we ordered just enough invites we would have been in trouble.

Definitely go for the 175. After you send them out you will inevitably need to add people and/or invitations might get lost in the mail and you may have to resend. I was conservative w/ ordering my extras and I was flipping out because I didn't think I was going to have enough. I ended up w/ 2 extras!

I would go with the 175, like other posters said it's cheaper than ordering an extra 25 later on and it gives you the piece of mind.
You may decide to invite more people later on, some might get lost in the mail, etc. It's better to be save than sorry and you'll have one less thing to worry about.
