Invitation prices ??

Invitation prices ??

I still don't really know what a 'good' price is for invites. I've been set on pocketfolds for a long time, and I came up with what I want in my head

So, I just wanted to see what you girls thought of these prices-

At a local store I was quoted $918 for 120 pocketfold invites (metallic paper) - That includes everything inside and outside, except I would assemble them. (glue the inner card to the inside and stuff the cards.)

Online, for similar invites, I'm being quoted about $800 (that's not including any shipping, and I'm assuming there will be some other little 'extra' tacked onto the price before I check-out.)

If these prices are pretty much the best I'm gonna get, I'd rather just go with the store (vs. online) so I can see what I'm getting in person and work with the people in person.

Whadd'ya think?
Thanks

uhm, that sounds rather pricy.... are they engraved or letterpress? Or is there some other detail to it that would drive the price up that much?

We got custom letterpress invitations (50) with 2 colors of custom blended ink for the invitation, a directions card, an RSVP card, all on handmade paper, and also letterpress return addressed envelopes.... for $650.

My initial instinct is to say that your price quotes are really out of line unless they would be as labor-intensive as ours were..... (all hand-done)

hope this helps....

MIne are pocket fold 73 for $320.00. They were $4.45 per invite. You can get them however you want, which means they can go for less or more.

Pocketfolds are expensive. I was having the same problem. Try ordering some pre printed invites and put them in a pocket if you can you probably can save money. This is what Im doing.

I refused to pay a lot of money for something that will eventually be thrown in garbage. I figure use the money somewhere else.

For those posting under $500 for invites can you please post who you bought from or what type of invite you bought?

I see some at like target, walmart and michaels ect- is there a big difference from vendors who are specifically invitation designers and online?

confused with invites (but have time for that, i know...i know..)

try notfromabox.com - they're priced well

also I bought my pocketfolds elsewhere and had notfromabox print my insides to save $ but in the end I don't think I saved much considering the time and multiple trips to Michaels I had to make for ribbon (I was only able to tie 10 invites per roll) and gluedots (I think I went through 6 boxes or so).

HTH

OH and I should add that I paid about $6 per invite - your quote sounds HIGH
