I have been trying to decide if I should order my invitations or make them myself. I can't determine what would be cheaper in the long run.
I have to do invitations, programs, menus and donation cards. I would like everything to look the same and match.
How much is everyone spending on invites?? and what is too much??

go to costco.com they have some great affordable option and the print is raised. Mine are coming out to around $208 or something like that for 100 invitations.

I have a thread on this w/ an image of my invite. It's from Costco.com. We are actually boxing them w/ rose petals & mailing them to the guest w/ the same style outer envelope (9x12) w/ 2 gold overlapping pears in the botton left corner.
Invites & response sets are $150. for 100 boxes, outer envelopes, petals, ribbon $75 Calligraphy (DIY, just ink) $0

I've been going back and forth on this one myself. I don't want to spend a fortune on invites, but I have fallen in love with the pocketfolds. I can't seem to find them for less then 5-6/invite. I know it will be cheaper to do them myself, yet I really want thermography. Sorry I'm no help

We are doing our invitations ourselves, and i am very happy with the way they turned out. But with the amount of money that I am saving, I am not sure it is worth the work. Depends on what you like. I recently found out that you can get nice invitations for something like $200, as the post mentions above. How much are you looking to spend?

EXACTLY....that is what i want. I want the pocketfold and I want the thermography....i just hate that I have to figure everything out online with some of these companies and I am afraid it won't come out good. I want to see all the options in front of me.....I looked into pricing bits and pieces of everything and it doesn't seem much cheaper.

I love it too. We had a list of close to 20 places we were planning on looking at, went to w.sayville, then one other place went home & called Steve and booked it! FH and I are going to the showcase. I just called yesterday to make reservations! How about you?
