Invitation pricing...

Ok so I got a quote for invitations. I don't know it's too high or reasonable because I've never shopped for them before...So ladies I need your opinions...Let me know what you think of this pricing..

Here is the pricing I was sent:

SAVE THE DATES (100-125 quantity)
Letterpress vs. Flat printing

1-2 color save-the-date card, letterpress: $450-800
*include card and envelope with return address

1-2 color save-the-date card, flat printing: $700-1100
*include card and envelope with return address

INVITATIONS (100-125 quantity)
Letterpress vs. Flat printing

1-2 color invitation suite based on something in our collection, letterpress: $1700-2200
*includes invite, envelope with return address, reply card and reply envelope

1-2 color invitation suite based on something in our collection, flat printing: $1000-1400
*includes invite, envelope with return address, reply card and reply envelope

Hmmmmm...What do you think????

Thanks so much

Re: Invitation pricing...

Seems a little high to me.

This is what I paid:

$145 for 100 STD (they were picture STD magnets) with envelopes and plastic enclosure

$490 for 100 invites with all enclosure cards and envelopes, which includes return address inprinted on the envelope.

Seems High To me,
Did you book your photographer yet? Most of them do STD for free mine did and another studio we checked out before We booked also would do them for free so get different quotes and if you did book your photo call them and ask them how much!

Thats REALLY high IMO... I paid A LOT less than that for my STD's AND A LOT LOT LOT less than that for custom made pocketfold invitations with place cards and table numbers as well...

Totally depends on what invitation you're getting. Thats about what I paid for invites but I know I picked an invite on the expensive side.

Re: Invitation pricing...

Def seems high.. you can get much better deals at other places.. If your looking to do a magnet for your std.. try magnetstreet.com, and try looking on weddingeleganceny.com they have much much better prices.. but I mean it also depends what you are looking for!

totally didn't read what the girl above me wrote but exactly what she said!

Re: Invitation pricing...

That seems like a crazy amount of money on invitations... especially when you can do them yourself for a fraction of that...

that seems very high to me.
i ordered my STD's from magnetstreet.com. we got about 175 of them and it came out to about $150. maybe check them out.
i also went to check out invitations a few weeks ago and found one that i liked. they priced it at about $1000 for 225 of them (included printed return address, invite, response card, and the reception card)
definitly check out other places.... sorry it was a bit long

Re: Invitation pricing...

My brother and I designed my save the dates and invitations together. Vista print did the save the dates for about $50 for 100 of them (vista print always has great coupons!) and I had 90 invitations/response cards/envelopes/directions printed by Minute Man press for $217.
