Help.........I am doing my invites and I am using Encore and their calligraphy. I was told that I am only addressing the outer envelope. I was just reading a bridal magazine and they said to put Mrs. Jane Smith and guest on the outer envelope is a big no-no. I am making a mistake???? Help........

Re: Invitation question!!!!????
hmmmm......
My outer envelope (the one that is addressed) has Ms. Jane Doe and Guest on it. I don't think it's a NO NO but a matter of taste and presentation. I guess if you have an envelope inside then that one should say Ms. Jane Doe and guest and the outer envelope be addressed solely to the person you are inviting. My invitations are envelopments so I didn't use an inner envelope, also to save some $$$ as well.

Re: Invitation question!!!!????
If you only have an outer envelope, this is the way it has to be done. My invites have no inner either(not by choice but they dont make inners for my invitations). This advice on addressing came from the invitation lady.

I think that's the only way to go if you don't have an inner envelope. Invitations without inner envelopes are becoming very popular.
