invitation question

My fiancee goes by the name AJ. We NEVER use his given name at all. Is it inappropriate to put AJ on the invitations? How about the ceremony?

Re: invitation question

i am in the same boat - my FI is RJ - never use his real name - but we are having a real formal invite - so that will have both first, and middle- it is more normal for me to see first and middle together

but for save the dates and engagement invites we are using RJ

Re: invitation question

Traditionally, on a formal invitation you would use his given name. That said, you should do what feels right to you, esp. if the invites are more casual!

Just saw Shannen's post -- sounds like an excellent compromise.

Re: invitation question
