Ok I started to pick out invitations that I like, but where did you order them from? Did you go to a store and pick them out or did you do it all online?? Which do you think is easier/cheaper??

Re: Invitation question
i did mine online, like most of my wedding stuff. i thought it was very easy, but i don't think it made it cheaper for me. i did go to one local stationary store just so i got an idea of what kinda of styles i was leaning toward.

Re: Invitation question
Sort of online--I found a great calligrapher who also custom-makes invites. We've spoken on the phone and via email to figure out a design. If you're interested, here's her website: www.calligraphylady.com

Re: Invitation question
I did a lot of research online and ordered samples, but ended up ordering them through Linda's Lovelis (a vendor here)-she was great to work with.

Re: Invitation question
if you ordered them on line, who did you use to address the envelopes?

Re: Invitation question

Edited to add*
I thought it was easier by going to the store and looking through all the books and writing down the company/book/page number and then later on comparing all the ones I liked (its time consuming, but I thought by having someone in the business asking me all the questions regarding the invitation I choose was easier -- just so I didn't forget anything or order the wrong thing). I rather have the person order it (if there was a problem) I could blame them and not me -JMO.
Also by going in person you can see and feel the invitation. *I used my computer to address the envelopes.
But if it is cheaper to order online - I would a least go through the books (in person), find one I like and then read all the requirements and information, etc. and ask questions. Then find the website and then order them. - just an idea.

Re: Invitation question
I looked online but to save myself the frustration I went with a vendor. She was great, answered alot of my questions and I had no worries AND they look beautiful! Creative Party Works Nicole Davidson

Re: Invitation question
Definitely go to a store to pick them out - you need to see and feel them in person. But order them from wherever you find them cheapest (usually a 30% discount off the major brands).
