invitation question

Hi, I'm sending my invites out to the calligrapher tomorrow. My question is do you have to address the inner enevelope. I know if I'm inviting someone single with a guest I do but what if it's for example my aunt and uncle?? TIA

for us if the person was single i wrote only their name and address on the outer envelope, but on the inner one i wrote their name and Guest.

But say the invite is for mr and mrs. smith, do you write
mr. and mrs. smith on the inner envelope too?

In that case I dinn't write their names again on the inner. I left the envelope blank. I used the inner for clarification...if I was allowing a guest or if I was allowing children.

I was less formal, like for my side I'd write Aunt Mary & Uncle Charlie
