invitation question

Hey guys!! i feel like i have been so busy with work and whatnot that i barely get time to come on here anymore!!

anways, we are going to pick out our invites in Sept. and i have a qustion about the wording for the invite.... my parents are divorced and my dad is not involved at all with my wedding (hes not even being invited) so i was wondering how the invites should be worded b/c i know the parent's names go in there some way... can someone show me an example or give me an idea if anyone only has one parent??

TIA

Re: invitation question

I would put:

Mrs. Jane Doe

Or, whatever your mother goes by... Ms.? And just not include your fathers name at all.

Or, if your mom is remarried, put Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith....

Re: invitation question

Hmmm.... you can pick any wording you want, BUT. Here is an example:

Mrs. Jane Doe

requests the honour of your presence

at the marriage of her daughter

Amanda Lynn

to

Christopher Patrick

son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Smith

something like that.

(Not sure I put the right words on the right lines, but, you get the point)

Re: invitation question

No problem! There are so many wording choices, as you will see, but, that gives you an idea..... at least that's how I would do it.
