If the wedding is October 12, what day would I put on the response card?

Good question. I'm interested in the answer too.

Re: invitation question
I had an engagement party, and from that experience I would say that you should put the response date at four weeks before your wedding. You will not believe how many people RSVP late, or do not RSVP at all. Also, at my engagement party, people cancelled the day of the party, and changed their minds about bringing a date on the date of the party. I had to change my seating chart three times.

Re: invitation question
I guess I should know this, but how long before the wedding date do you mail the invites?

Re: invitation question
I think you're supposed to give them six weeks but I'm not sure if it's 6 weeks before the wedding or the reply date.

Re: invitation question
I can relate to Jess2504. For my eparty invites I put 6 weeks out b/c I know how my guests are.

Re: invitation question
My wedding is 4/18 and I put 3/7, I want them in earlier rather than later. So I would go with early september. maybe 9/5-9/10
