I am deciding on invitations right now. We are getting very plain traditional invitations. My question is do we really need the inner envelope?

Re: invitation question
I say yes! For no other reason then I like the way it looks, it seems more formal!

Re: invitation question
I don't think you 'need' it - depends how formal you want to be.. I am leaning towards invites printed on recycled paper, with no extra layers of paper or envelopes - don't think anybody will mind
Then again.. I think the inner envelope is where you would typically write 'and guest' rather than with the address?

i also say yes because i think it looks more formal that way. do you have to have them? nope, will anyone miss them? nope.

Re: invitation question
you don't need it, a lot of invitations now don't come with an inner envelope.

Re: invitation question
I see how they are more formal looking. But our wedding is going to be a little less formal. I guess our theme would be 'A Party'. But that is right about writing 'and guest' on it. i gotta think about this one.
Only I would stress over envelopes!!!1

Re: invitation question
I think inner envelopes are important because you address who the invitation is for more specifically.

You don't really need it, but I like it, especially if you're going the traditional route.

Re: invitation question
if you're going with traditional, I would get inner envelopes.
