Does anyone know how many months before the wedding you should buy invites, how long they take to come in after they are ordered and how soon before the wedding to send them out? I have no idea when I am supposed to start this..

They say to order them about 6 months before your wedding and they say to send them out about 2 months before the wedding

Some girls order very early but I was very late with mine. I ordered them in July and sent them out this week. I think somewhere in the middle is fine. Start looking at what kind you like and then contact the place to see how long you need.

we have the same wedding date and I was wondering the same thing. I plan on sending mine last week of march with an rsvp date of 4/23/11. I think Im ordering next month.

I would order them at the latest 3 months before. Send them out 6-8 weeks before. If you have a B list I would send them out on the earlier side. Also, make sure you do an RSVP date that leaves enough time to track down those that didn't respond and enough time to do your table seatings. I had my RSVP date be 3 weeks before the wedding and it worked out fine for me. I know so girls make it even earlier. If you want a bargin, check out dreamyoccasions.com. i found my birchcraft invitation at In-vitations and be-yond then ordered them from this website for about half the price. I also avoid tax by picking them up at her house in suffolk and paying cash. It was something like 277 for 125 invites.
