How would you address an invitation to a couple when the wife goes by her maiden name?

I have the same problem. I just wrote
Mr. Smith & Mrs. Brown

I have a BM who does this and I'm saying Mr & Mrs Husband's Last Name
If this bothers you then you can say Mr X & Mrs. Y

It would be Mr. Smith and Mrs. Brown
They didn't change their name for a reason, so I would not address it to Mr. & Mrs,. Smith when she isn't Mrs. Smith
