Invitation Question

I'm in the process of writing out invitations right now. I have a couple who are married except the wife kept her maiden name and didn't take the husbands last name. How would i address this?

Ms. __________ Jackson & Mr. ______________ Smith

or

Mrs. _________ Jackson & Mr. ______________ Smith

Not sure how to properly address this. Any help is appreciated!! :) TIA!

Re: Invitation Question

Q.
How should I address an invitation to a married couple if the wife has kept her maiden name both socially and professionally?

A.
Address the invitation the same way you would address one to a couple who is living together but not married (in other words, any couple with different last names). Names are listed alphabetically, no matter which person (woman or man) comes first. The outer envelope should look like this:

Ms. Samantha Adams
Mr. Thomas Sullivan
12345 First Street
Anywhere, USA 11234

The inner envelope would read:

Ms. Adams and Mr. Sullivan

hope this helps...

Re: Invitation Question

hey date twin!!!

I had a similar situation and i did

Mr. _____ Jackson & Mrs. ______ Smith

since they are actually married.

In regards to what name goes first with married couples the husband with singles living together the person you're closer to goes first.
