Invitation question - Long Island Weddings

When I've received invitations with an inner envelope they usually have the invitees names on it.

Invitation question - Long Island Weddings

Yes. I did not do an inner envelope but I believe you do write on the inner one as well. http://www.calligraphybycarrie.com/media/documents/noregrets.pdf This helped me out a lot when I was addressing my envelopes

Re: Invitation question

I wrote on the inner envelope. I found it was more of casual way to address everyone.

Here are some examples of what I did:

Mr & Mrs Joh Smith = Dad & Mom or Uncle John & Aunt Jane or John & Jane

Mr & Mrs John Smith & Family = Johnny, Jane, Joey and Mary

Ms. Jane Smith = Jane or Jane & Guest

Invitation question - Long Island Weddings

You do not have to. We figured that we would get them done since we were already paying for the outside but it's definitely not necessary.
