How do you decide on what to use for invitations? Should I find a person who does Calligraphy. Or should I try the computer, hand feeding envelopes into the printer or print up labels ? Is Calligraphy expensive?

Re: Invitation Question
Yes Anita is going to do the invitations. We'll probably going to order them maybe Oct. or Nov.. I looked at the books when I ordered the STD cards. She has a very good selection of invitations. Are you going to use her also?

Re: Invitation Question
True etiquette says you should hand address the envelopes or caligraphy. I think in todays world, a nice font on the computer is just as acceptable.

Re: Invitation Question
Nrvbrd, do you mind telling us how you did it? Font style, size, etc. Do you have any photos? Thanks.

Re: Invitation Question
We used the computer as well.
Here's a pic of an outside envelope. Excuse the error (35th is messed up):
and an inner envelope:

Re: Invitation Question
its not suppose to be that expensive.. and considering how many thousands your spending on the wedding, whats a couple extra hundred for hand calligraphy..

Re: Invitation Question
Nicely done
What about oddly shaped envelopes though?
Do you think a computer will still work? Are labels totally taboo?

Re: Invitation Question
In the beginning, we had a hard time printing ours. Thank god they gave us extra envelopes!!!!
The combination of heavy paper stock and envelopes (sometimes they get 'air pockets' when they feed) caused some jams. FH tried it on our Epson, then his work printer and eventually he went out a purchased a $100 Lexmark. The Lexmark was awesome! No problems whats-so-ever!!!!
