Invitation question for brides having a Mass

Invitation question for brides having a Mass

My parents are insisting we have a mass at our ceremony (total drag, i know).
How do I word this on the invitation. Originally I had:

'exchange the vows of Holy Matrimony'

but my parents are claiming people need to know its a mass. Is there a certain way of saying this that sounds nice?

I'm not sure, but 'exchanging the vows' doesn't necessarily imply a mass....or at least I don't think it does. How about something like 'Invited to the nuptial mass'?

We're going with :

'....Joyfully invite you to share in their happiness
as they exchange marriage vows during a nuptial mass on Friday, October 7, 2005 etc ....'

You don't really need to tell your guests in the invitation that it is a full mass but if your parents insist you can say something like:

'request the honor of your presence as they exchange vows in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony'

(though I don't think that necessarily indicates a mass)

Or similar to what LM suggested:

'request the honor of your presence at the Nuptial Mass uniting...'
