Invitation questions

Hi Gals,

So we are FINALLY ordering our invites and i just wanted to get some opinions on these questions i have:

-is five o'clock the afternoon or evening?

-should the inner lining envelope match the color of the font, the invite????

-the return address comes printed on the reply envelopes- should my name be there too or just the address?

-what date should i put to RSVP by? my wedding is Aug 14. do i put July 14 or something close to it??

I'm sure i'll have more questions, but this is a start.
Thanks.

Re: Invitation questions

I did 5 o'clock in the evening...sounds better

I think the color should match

I had the return address sent to my dad

a month prior to your wedding is standard for RSVPs so you can do your place cards

5 O'Clock definately evening

I would have the inside of the envolopes match something on the invites, even if its not the font.

Approx. 1 month before is good for RSVP date.

I put my name on the return labels and i dont believe there is a standard. Most ppl use their name (or someones name) as opposed to only an address but I guess its all personal preference

Re: Invitation questions

5 o'clock is technically still considered afternoon, especially in August when it is still light out, although you could use either afternoon or evening, whichever you prefer.

You could match the lining to your invite, or you could do a pearl, again personal preferance.

1 month prior to your wedding is a good RSVP deadline.

You should put your name (or your parents) on the RSVP envelope. No name goes on the return address on the back flap of the envelope.
