Invitation sale

I went to an invitation shop, just to get an idea of what was out there, even though our wedding isn't until Sept. 2002. The sales woman informed me that most of the invitations in the 2001 books are 50% off from October to December because the 2002 books will be out in January. She did say the companies were 'participating' in the sale, so that makes me think that it's not just this particular shop. The shop is in Buffalo, but if you're shopping for invitations now you might want to call around to see if you can get the same sale. I'm going there tonight, I will try and get some more information......

I'm originally from Hauppauge, but I live in Williamsville. The store is Calling All Cards on Eggert Road at the corner of Sheridan Drive. Where are you in Buffalo? Have you had any good experiences getting things done locally for your wedding?

I have lived in Buffalo all of my life. My FI is from Glen Cove. . . so that is the reason for the wedding on LI. I have been doing good with the planning considering the circumstances. I think that when we do visit I am pressured to get as much done as possible and not procrastinate. I have one last thing to do : DJ. Everything else is set up to this point. 8.5 months left! :) Boy, it goes quickly. When is your wedding and where? Mine is July 4th at Fox Hollow. :)! Good luck planning. Nancy

Hi Nancy! It's nice to hear from someone in a similar situation. Our wedding is 9/21/02 at John Anthony's in Babylon. When I go to LI to visit now wedding stuff is all I do too. So far we have a church, a photographer and the video set. The next thing on the list for us is DJ's too. Do you have any DJ's in mind? Do you plan on getting your dress in Buffalo, or LI?
