invitation samples vent....

invitation samples vent....

I am so upset! I ordered three samples from USA invitations costing me 5 dollars each. I didnt have a problem with the price until I got the invitations...they were just the front piece of the invitation! No envelope, no RSVP cards not even the full card for one of them! The site said that the invites would be blank meaning no writing but these werent even full invitations. I ordered invitations from other sites and for $5 dollars, i received a full inivitation with with its envelop at least! One even gave me a few samples! The papers I received were NOT were $5 each. If I ordered these invitations (just the invitations no envelopes just like I received them) the most one of them would cost is $2.50 (the other two would be $1.20 or $1.34) Even if I add shipping to that and processing costs it would be no where close to 5 dollars.
I e-mailed the woman complaining about the cost of the 'invitation samples' I received and she said
'when the suppliers drop ship samples, they do it blank without printing, and you have to specially request and I have to pay for any other parts of the
ensemble. (??? more money)...she also says 'We are charged for the samples, plus we have to take the time to write up a separate order for samples from each different company, the
way your order was.'

Am I being unreasonable? I dont think i am..i actually feel my $15 were a waste... I ordered samples from two other places..One of the I love, the other I dont but I still dont feel like my $5 was a waste....

Sorry for the long e-mail...just wondering if anyone else experienced this...

www.rexcraft.com send you free samples. Which are really nice. They also mail you a HUGE catalog to look through.

I got free samples from Invitations by Dawn. Though I didnt actually order my invitations directly from the company, I did order the specific invitation I got as a sample.

I would send them a complaint letter or email. An invitation website that did the same thing and after I complained, they reimbursed me, sent me the rest of the ensemble and offered to give me 10% off if I ordered from them. I was very tempted, but ending up going through Lizard Designs b/c Liz designed one for me.

I did complain...and she basically said that they are a small company and that is how they do business...

That is horrible! I'd tell her that she is never going to grow her business with practices like that! At least you learned now and not when you were waiting on something for your actual invitations!
