Invitation Stress!!!

We've invited 237 to the wedding - thus far 33 guests have said no and only 91 have said yes. Our guarantee is 150.

FH's mom had narrowed her list down at the beginning knowing that all these people would be saying no. We have people invited from ISRAEL - THEY'RE NOT COMING

My mom doesn't seem to understand my stress.

MY OWN FIN GRANDPARENTS aren't even coming.

With 237 - there shouldn't have been a need for a B list.

237!!! i mean come on - almost 40% saying no.

We sent the invites out at the beginning of JUNE - it's a bit rude to send them now.

I'm sorry your going thru this I'm going thru it to.. getting a no makes me mad if I knew it was a no in the first place why did I have to send it then?!?! UGH

I did the same thing & don't have an A or B list.. They all went out together.. We were WAYYY over our numbers but were assuming the 20% no...

Yes!
U ask LIW brides to come to ur wedding..
U can do it Private by FM or public .....
U can ask them to bring their FH/DH if U want...

DONT STRESS!!!

We kept getting a lot of NOs at first and were worried. We invited people from Israel as well. At the end we got WAY over our limit.

Try to stay calm, think of a B list and as always there is LIW girls that will gladly come to your wedding :)

I know what your going through!!! All I can say is sorry!!!

We invited around the same number as you and even after adding last minute B-listers we are currently at 127 with a 150 minimum!!!

You only have a little more than half of the RSVPs in -- you might still come close to your min. Maybe people will surprise you (I've been assuming that my Israeli cousins won't come... but now they're all talking about flying in). Still, if you're worried, it's not too late to send out a few more invites.

I know people stress about meeting their min. But, if you think about it, that's already a sunk cost. It's as if you're paying $X thousand for the RH you want on the day and time you want, and you only have to pay more than that if you have over 150 people.

I guess it's a shock to me since both of our parents said we'd end up with 175 based on their lists - and now I'm worried about meeting 150.


All I can hear now is my dad saying... I told you so. I told you no one would come b/c your venue is too far.

And even though I prepared myself that my grandparents weren't coming - I'm still upset. I'd figure they'd want to see their first grandchild get married, but instead they have a lame excuse like every other occasion in my life
