So my wedding is less than a month away, and now CHCC is giving me stress about the time that I put on the invitation! My ceremony starts at 630, the original banquet mansager told me to make sure to put 1/2 hr before so ppl are on time, so I did. Now some theyre coming out saying why I put 6pm?? BC YOUR STAFF told me so! Is this normal? it makes sense to me to tell ppl to come before the ceremony starts, am I wrong?
Exactly!! they are to pass champagne around too upon guests arrival! so when are they supposed to this? while I walk down the aisle? lol they're ridiculous, I just brushed them off..
Hey I put a 1/2 hour before my ceremony as well..you should. You don't want people coming in late. Your reception hall should even have a lil waiting room for your guests before the wedding with some drinks.
I also put 1/2 hour before but I didnt even tell my hall and i didnt have any problems the day of.
No one told me anything at this point however Im just going put the correct church time. People should know to arrive on time. If anyone comes when the procession starts they will have to enter from the side doors and use the side aisles. Im not worried about anyone taking the attention from me. Im the bride in a big dress lol
Your hall should not be telling you what time to put on your invite.
