Invitation to be send four weeks before the RSVP date...Is that OK?

Invitation to be send four weeks before the RSVP date...Is that OK?

I did not want to send my invitations too early and will be sending them out next weekend with RSVP date to be July 1st (for the A list) and I will be sending the B list out during the first week of July for RSVP August 1st. Do you think that is enough time? A lot of people have told me four weeks is about the norm, but I still would like your opinion

In a perfect world...I might move the b list a week earlier, But there is nothing wrong with your timeframe!

Mine went out 3/25 with an RSVP of 4/25 so your timeline is fine.

That's fine. 4 weeks is the standard but some girls send them out even earlier, but it's def. not 'late'. As long as you're giving yourself enough time to follow up with those that don't RSVP and to do your seating chart, then it's fine.

Also, no matter how early or late you send them out, you will always have stragglers with RSVP's....it's frustrating, but it has nothing to do with the amount of time you give them, people just apparently have difficulty checking off a self-addressed stamped envelope and dropping it in the mailbox.

I think your timeline is fine, but if you've got them teed up to go, why not send them out earlier than that? The faster you start getting them back, the sooner you can send out the B's and then lock in your head count.

Mine had to be revised so I'm behind. I wanted to send them out last week but they will be going out with 4 weeks to the rsvp date.
