Invitation Word of Wisdom for the handful of 09er's left!!!!

When you girls begin gathering names/addresses for your invites, please do this:

Have your future in-laws map out a tree of how everyone is related and who they want to invite from this tree...

Because I just went by the list that was given to me by FFIL for his side, I invited some cousins and not others and they just so happen to be SIBLINGS!!! Now I feel like a jackass, but it's truely not my fault.

This is actually a great idea! This will also avoid forgetting people or at least lessen the gap.

Oh noooo Im so sorry!!!! Thats so not your fault!

Another word of wisdom for the 09ers left...

Dont stress about when you send out your invitations because no matter when you send them..... there will be many people who dont RSVP and it get very frustrating Good thing I only have about 6 people to hunt down....but this is very annoying...

Yes, definitely... I mean this was 2nd cousins who im not even sure FH knows... If it was immediate family, i think i'd crawl under a rock

Oh im annoyed with them too!!!! Ive begun taking verbal answers bc its the best I can get now

The in laws have their list to call... my mom has hers... and i had wedding party members who never sent it back either... so i just assumed they were a yes

I knowwwww...we started taking verbal answers as well.... its a bit disappointing that people dont think its important enough to send it out on-time eventhough there is already a stamp on there....

I'm so afraid of this happening! I really don't want to make phone calls! Although - I have to say I think my parents and MOH (my sister) may never send their response cards!

And yes, Gina. . . it's not your fault - but it does happen - you won't be looked at as the 'bad one'.

we did this early on with FH's dad's siblings and their kids. Mainly because FH didn't know peoples names and didn't know whose kids were whose, but it definitely helped with the invites (and will with the seating as well).
