Invitation Wording

Ladies,

Need your opinion as to which invitation sounds the best...thank you!

Two lives, two hearts
joined together in friendship
united forever in love.
It is with joy that we,
Sylvia ...
and
Michael ...
invite you to share
in a celebration of love
as we exchange our marriage vows
on Friday, the first day of September
Two thousand and six
at three o'clock in the afternoon
Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church
43-19 30th Avenue
Long Island City, New York

God had led two lives
to take one path
Sylvia ...
and
Michael ...
together with their parents
invite you to witness their vows
as they begin their joyful journey
on Friday, the first day of September
Two thousand and six
at three o'clock in the afternoon
Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church
43-19 30th Avenue
Long Island City, New York

Because you have shared in our lives
by your friendship and love, we
Sylvia ...
and
Michael ...
together with our parents
invite you to share
the beginning of our new life together
when we exchange marriage vows
on Friday, the first day of September
Two thousand and six
at three o'clock in the afternoon
Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church
43-19 30th Avenue
Long Island City, New York

Together with their parents
Sylvia ...
and
Michael ...
request the honour of your presence
at their marriage
on Friday, the first day of September
Two thousand and six
at three o'clock in the afternoon
Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church
43-19 30th Avenue
Long Island City, New York

Re: Invitation Wording

I'm very low-key, I always prefer the short and sweet, so I picked #4.

I like #1, but I would include 'together with their parents' like the other 3 choices.

number 4. it's the most elegant and understated.

Re: Invitation Wording

#1, that is what we used but we used our full names....Considering our parents are not contributing, we did not put them on the invitation at all
