Invitation wording..............

For eveyone who is paying for the wedding themselves, what wording are you using? Are you going to include your parents anyway???

We are paying for everything ourselves and will be using:

Together with their parents

Bride
and
Groom

request the honour of your presence....


We feel that our parents have done SOOO much in just raising us etc that we wanted to give them that respect... we also know that if they had any $ they would def. have helped us out.

I did the exact same thing!

So did I!

I left the wording on my invites very vague. I'm paying, my parents are on bad terms, and I didn't want to offend anyone. I also wanted them to be casual. They'll say:

You are invited to share in
a celebration of love as
Amy & Louis
exchange marriage vows on
......

My parents are paying for their share of guests, and they also are chipping in for some vendors [favors, invites, etc]
and me and FH are paying for the rest.

We stuck with the traditional:
'mr & mrs invite u to their daughter
rosella
to
dan
son of mrs'
