Re: Invitation wording
You can write something like
The honor of your presence is requested
At the marriage of
Miss Bride
daughter of Mrs Mom Bride and the late Mr Dad Bride
to
Mr Groom
son of Mr and Mrs Parent Groom
hope that helps

Re: Invitation wording
Could you do bride and groom together with their families? I am not sure.

Re: Invitation wording
Thanks for asking about this. I have to do the same because my FH's father is deceased and he is the only one that he didn't get to see get married.
You guys are a wealth of info.

Re: Invitation wording
My mom is on the invite and not his 'rents, but we did: Mrs. Dad'sFirstName LastName requests the honour... b/c they were still married when he died and she is not remarried. crane.com has a really good wording guide

Re: Invitation wording
The only thing I have been told is that a deceased parent cannot invite. So ours was worded like this

okay, did some informational checking and found this link http://weddings.about.com/cs/invitations/f/deceasedparent.htm they say its really not appropriate to put the deceased parents name on the invite. but to honor them in a special way with a rememberance during the wedding ceremony.
FH and I are including in our programs a section that states 'IN LOVING MEMORY OF' and listed some of our important deceased family members.
