Invitation wording

Invitation wording

hi,

i was curious- if anyone had their parents or future in laws get offended by having the invitations read

'together with our parents'

i see it so common now- i don't think it should be a big deal. but i see this maybe causing a stir that their names aren't all mentioned.

my parents are divorced, dad is remarried. so this would be a nice way to include everyone without going into 4 names.

thanks

Re: Invitation wording

no one got offended - we used 'together with their famililes...'

we paid for 95% of it, and I didnt feel like getting into mentioning everyones names. honestly, no one is gonna study it or make a huge deal over it. Do what you and FH want....its your day

yeah. my parents contributed some, and his contributed some and then us the rest. so thats why i feel since they contributed some they are going to feel slighted for not mentioning their names. but your right. i'm not going to worry about it any longer.

AHHHH the divorced parents dilemma

Both sides contributed to the wedding, not a ton but they did, so i wanted to included their names on the invite

My mom and dad are not remarried and my mom kept her married name.
My INlaws are still married

So the invite looked like this

Ms. Eleanor Abb***
Mr. Joseph Abb***

Request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter

Nicole Abb***

to

Lee Man***

Son of Mr. and Mrs. N**** Man*****
