Invitation wording

Invitation wording

If the ceremony and reception are at the same location, is it absolutely necessary to write 'Reception to follow'. I'm having trouble making everything fit as it is and I figure that people already know that anyway.

Also, FH's parents just gave us a nice check towards the wedding. We passed most of the money along to my parents to go towards the reception. I'm thinking we should have both sets of parents on the invitation. Does this seem right?

I didn't have reception to follow....I think it is understood. Most people know all the catering halls on LI and know if your ceremony is there, the reception will be as well.

Also, my mom and FH's mom gave us a certain amount of money toward the wedding (about 1/4 each) and my dad had to contribute the rest. All parents names went on top of the invite and I passed the money onto dad to pay the vendors with.

I put reception to follow in small print on the bottom. it's definitely not necessary b/c everyone knows where the reception will be, but i thought it was just a formality. so i left it there.

also,I put ILs on the invitation. They paid for our photo and video, but i was planning on it anyway b/c it's just a nice thing to do.

We just got our invitations in! We did not put reception to follow. I think its understood. We also put both sets of parents' names at the top of the invite since FH parents did contribute.
