Invitation wording

Invitation wording

I heard that when you are getting married at the RH that the invitation should say that the ceremony starts 30 min before it actually does. Is this true and does everyone know this? I have never heard of this before.

Yes - most places have what they call the 'invitation time' or the 'hospitality time.' It's so that latecomers don't show up in the middle of the ceremony. Some places will pass around trays of champagne and fruit or other light appetizers.

they told us this as well- we ended up calling it for 15 min before we plan to start

We have it written that it starts at 6:45, when it actually starts at 7 - just in case people are a bit late.
