invitation wording

we are using the formal wording...

Mr & Mrs. Campbell request the honour of your presence at the wedding of their daughter
Paula Joyce
to
Daniel Linder Smith
son of Mr. & Mrs. Smith
etc etc etc

My question is...do we include FH's last name?? or should it just be his first and middle name since the next line states son of ???

The proof i received included his name and I think i want it taken out so that it is just our first & middle names. is there proper etiquette on this?? anyone have strong opinions on way or the other?

Re: invitation wording

If you write the last name below it you don't need his name there...

Correct me if I'm wrong or not, but, I thought with formal invitations normally, the entire names are spelled out ...

so you'd have Mr. and Mrs. (Dad's First Name) Campbell...

Same with your FH's Dad's name

Re: invitation wording

I actually had this same question when I did my invitations (FH wanted me to take his last name off, but I wanted to keep it). We asked our invitation vendor, and she said it is proper to have his last name, even though you list his parents below.
