Invitation wording and other invitation question...

Hi Everyone. I have 2 invitation related questions:

1) I was married before and didn't change back to my maiden name. I am thinking of using my maiden name during the ceremony, and on the invitations. I am concerned people will not know who the hell it is though...lol. Although, my name is Alise and it's not common. Thoughts?

2) My fiance and I are paying for the wedding ourselves. Any suggestions on how to word the invitations?

SOrry but not sure what to write about ques 1. But my FH and I are paying as well and we worded our invites like: TOgether with their parents

and
so and so
invite you...............................

We are paying for ours too and we worded it the same way (Together with our parents......) We wanted to acknowledge them even though they arent paying.

whatever neame you are currently using is what i would use for the invites.

It doesn't matter much that you got it from a previous marriage.

I would use the name that everyone is used to, to avoid confusion.

FH and I are also paying for our wedding ourselves. This is how our invite was worded:

Because you have shared in our lives
with your friendship and love, we
(bride's name)
and
(groom's name)
invite you to share
in the beginning of our new life together
as we exchange marriage vows
on (date/day)
at (time)
(place)
(town, state)
Reception following ceremony

You dont have to put your full name on your invites, for my name we only put my first and middle name....and for DHs we put his full name including last.

Example:

Jane Marie

and

John Michael Doe


And you can put together with their parents if you want to include them or you can just put your names request the honor of your presence

or you canput a quote to start it

Today 2 shall become one...
Jane Marie
and
John Michael Doe
request the honor of your presence

etc.

The name problem is that 1/2 the ppl know me as my maiden name and 1/2 as my married name...
