invitation wording - couple hosts

Hi Everyone.

My fiance and I are paying for most of our wedding. Both of our parents feel we should put our names on the wedding invitation because we are really paying for our own wedding.

What are some examples of the wording?

we were thinking something like this:

Nicole Middle Last
and
James Middle Last
Ensign United States navy
request the honor of your presence
at their marriage
on Saturday, the twenty fourth of October
two thousand nine
at two o’clock in the afternoon
XY Church
123 Main Street
Town, New York

is it 'two thousand AND nine'?

do i put 'AT' two o'clock?

i have seen different versions online and in books, and wanted peoples opinions on what was correct for a formal wedding invitation. we decided to use the contemporary spelling on honor (not honour)

TIA

you do put the 'and' in there. It should read two thousand and nine.

I believe our invitation has the word 'at' in there but I don't remember now.

We are paying for ours and our wording went like this:

Please join family and friends as

bride
and
groom

are united in marriage

Saturday the fifth of September
Two thousand and nine
at three o'clock in the afternoon
Church details

See now I'm confused I always thought it was two thousand and nine also. But then I was told no, it's two thousand nine. That the first would mean 2000 and 9 and the later is 2009. I don't really think it matters either way though!

All the invites I see include the word AND in the year, so I think its completely fine. though technically, 'and' is supposed to be used when there is a decimal in a number-sorry I'm a math teacher.
