invitation wording for reception...

invitation wording for reception...

our reception is not immediately after the ceremony so my SIL said that I shouldn't have it say 'Reception to follow' on the actual invite. This sounds about right but I wanted to ask you ladies...

Do you just include a reception card with the information?

or do you write 'reception to follow' even if it's 3 hours after the ceremony ends??

Please let me know your thoughts

TIA
Marisa

My reception is 3.5 hours after the ceremony ends, I'm not writing anything on the invitation, just putting a reception card in.

We did a reception card and put

'cocktails, dinner and dancing' and all of the information

our church is 3pm and cocktail hour starts at 7.

Yea I'm going to do a reception card (was going to anyway) just wasn't sure if I should put

'reception to follow' on the actual invite... it's not immediately following so I won't put it...
