Okay, so I need to order my invitations now considering my wedding is only 5 months away. We want to have a small private ceremony (maybe 20 guests). Our ceremony is at 5 pm on a Friday. Cocktail hour is 530-7, reception 7-11. How do I word this?? I dont need a separate reception card, but should i make some ceremony cards and only put them in certain invitations? How do I word the timing? (Cocktail hour starting at??) Please Help!!!!
I would put 'quarter to 6' on your invitation. ( that way when people come early, they won't interrupt the ceremony) and put a ceremony card into those invited. Or you can use word of mouth to invite to the ceremony. and i would wright something also to let people know that there will be no ceremony. Something like 'X and X invite you to share there marriage celebration' as opposed to 'X and X invite you to share in the celebration of their wedding' as most people won't see the wedding.
