Invitation Wording HELP... I know there are always like a million post on these but I can't seem to get it right...
Okay so I need to print my invites ASAP and am having a little difficulty with the wording. I'm okay until I get the the locations and times. I just don't know if it sounds right. Any help with this and anything else you may see wrong would be WONDERFUL!! Thanks girls!!
And we shall become one to share all the days of our lives…
Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Jones request the honour of your presence at the marriage of their daughter Rachel Jones to Colin Smith on Saturday, the seventh of October Two thousand and six at four o’clock Church location, New York Reception at half past seven RH location, New York

Were you planning on putting the reception info on the main invite?

I would add 'in the afternoon' after four o'clock.

that part would usually go on a separate card, like:
Please join us for a reception at.........time, place

I agree - generally the church info goes on the main invite and there's a seperate reception card. If you have your ceremony at the same place as your reception then they put 'reception immediately following'

I'd love to see them when you're done!! I wanted to do my own but I KNOW myself and after I was done decorating them and buying paper, ribbon, etc, they would have been more than the ones I bought!! As it is I did 8 page programs!!

I will definitely post them once complete. It's funny because I LOVED the Precious Moments invitation kits that they had at AC Moore, but I thought they were too plain. I saw another kit that I hated the invitation but loved the jacket that came with it and couldn't find it separately. So I just bought both kits, lol. So I think I might use the other paper for the menus or something. I'll definitely post. If I could do this anybody could. I am NOT crafty at all!!
ETA- And of course I used a 50% off coupon for all of them. I went to the store like 8 times since they won't let you use more than one at a time.

In addition to what the other girls mentioned about the reception card, generally if you include your parents names, you don't include your last name so it would read:
Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Jones request the honour of your presence at the marriage of their daughter
Rachel Marie
to
Colin Smith
OR Colin Michael son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Smith

I was not planning on putting my FH parents names on the invite so would I still leave off my last name and just put his?? (My parents are paying for most of the wedding)

Yup!!!! Use your middle name instead of your last name, and then put FH's entire name.
