Invitation Wording-- I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP, LADIES!!!

Ok, I'm sitting here, attempting to make my own invitations. Now my parents are paying for the wedding, FH's parents are paying for flowers, favors, and a few other things.... I know traditionally the bride is supposed to put her parent's names on the invitations, if they are the ones hosting the wedding. In my case, FH's parents, are wonderful. His mother is like a second mother to me. I have included her in every step of the wedding planning, we hang out whenever we get the chance, I love her to death. I don't see how I cannot include his parents on the invitation, even though my parents are paying for most. What do you think??

What if you start the invitation with

Together with our families......

and then if you want to specifically have their names on the invitations do

robyn

daughter of Mr. and Mrs. robyn's last name

to

Fiance's name

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Fiances last name

Oh this is so funny, i am in a VERY similar predicament right now. I was just going to post almost the same thing and read yours and was like 'woah'.

Anyway in my case FH's parents are wonderful also, and paying for the photographer, flowers, limos, rehearsal dinner, and a few other things also. My parents are INSISTENT on being the 'hosts' of my wedding. I know that FH's parents would like to be on the top with my parent's names, but they will not make a big issue of it if it's going to cause another fight. (this isn't the first thing my parents wanted complete control over).

Anyway, I'm not sure if it's worth the fight even though I would definitely put both parent's names on top if it was up to me (it's not).

What the heck should I do? It was very nice of FH's parents to contribute so much to the wedding...so do i put them below FH's name to keep my parent's happy?

sorry i couldn't help you out, but it's a difficult issue. If your parents will be okay with putting both names on top then do it...unfortunately i don't have that luxury:(
