Invitation wording _ Paying for Everything Solo

Invitation wording _ Paying for Everything Solo

So I bought my invites. I know it's a year out but I like to plan ahead.

They are completely DIY

So if I can figure out the wording - I can start printing them up. That way, later on I will just have to worry about all the envelopes.

So please ladies past/present/whatever.

Let me see pictures, or tell me what wording you are using if you are paying for the wedding yourselves with no parents involved..

I'm torn on whether or not to still include our parents names on the invites.

SO GIVE ME SOME IDEAS!!

Paying for the wedding yourselves it can be smomething like

The honour of your presence is requested at the wedding of Jill Marie Jones and
John Allen Smith

Or

Jill Marie Jones and John Allen Smith request the honour of your presence...

the first one sis more ambiguous about who is paying, the second makes it more obvious.

We paid for ours. My Dad had passed away as well so I didn't know how to deal with wording that. We decided on just having our names and no one was insulted. I LOVED my invites.

DH and I paid for everything ourselves. We are also old

However, in order not to insult anyone we did:

Together with our Parents, we invite you to join with us as we exchange marriage vows......

(all the details)

and then

Bride's Name
and
Grooms Name

at the very bottom

Our parents' names were not listed on the invitations.

Same here... We are paying for it all. We're exchanging vows at the RH as well.
This is what we wrote:

We paid for the majority of our wedding but felt it was only right to honor our parents so we went with the traditional wording- It is really up to you and your individual style. I was had a very traditional wedding and felt like I wanted a traditional invite. Both my parents and DHs parents were very happy to be included.

We are also paying for our wedding solo, this is the wording used on our invites. I included parents out of respect.

Our journey to find true love ends...
our journey to cherish true love begins

Together we laugh, we dream, we love,
and on this day, we marry

Bride

Groom

together with our parents
request the honor of your presence as
we begin a lifetime of togetherness on
