Invitation wording _ Paying for Everything Solo xposted

So I bought my invites. I know it's a year out but I like to plan ahead.

They are completely DIY

So if I can figure out the wording - I can start printing them up. That way, later on I will just have to worry about all the envelopes.

So please ladies .

Let me see pictures, or tell me what wording you are using if you are paying for the wedding yourselves with no parents involved..

I'm torn on whether or not to still include our parents names on the invites.

SO GIVE ME SOME IDEAS!!

((I know a lot of you haven't even started this yet, but if you have seen anything or have any ideas where to start. let me know))

I am actually already working with a vendor on my invites. I think it would depend on a few things wether you mention your parents or not. If your parents not helping because they cant or because they are just not in your life or something along those lines? IF they are around but cant help due to financial reasons then I would still mention them. I would check out the 2010 board for wording. Alot of those girls have pics of their invites posted

We are getting a little help for my parents for the wedding;...his parents are not paying for anything but I was going to put their names anyway.. I didnt realize that we are putting the parent names on the invites because they are helping you pay... But in this case.....what do i do about my grandparents who are giving us a little help as well? do i put my parents and my grandparents and leave his parents off?

Thanks Kim!

I like your invitation a lot.

Mind me asking though; what made you decide to include both sets of parents even though you're paying for it yourselves? Because I'm going back and forth on whether or not I want to include them.

Mind me asking though; are your parents helping you pay for it - or you are just including them anyway? And why did you decide to do that?

thanks 'she' does some amazing work.

They are giving some but not enough to pay for the wedding just helping out with some deposits and a vendor. Even if they didnt give a dime I felt it was only right to include them because they are our parents and I think its really nice to include them.

I wouldn't put my grandparents names.. than again do you think they'd get offended if you don't?

Yeah that's kind of how I feel too. My parents are helping here and there. Like they bought my dress and my invitations so I wanted to include them. but the in laws have been giving us such hell about this whole wedding thing that I don't want to include them. But I can't include one over the other - So it's all or nothing and frankly I don't want the in laws names on my invitations with all the crap they're putting Jason through.
